During the first two years of high school, students at Advance Prep Academy are introduced to a well-rounded curriculum through general electives designed to build foundational knowledge and essential life skills. Through our Technical Education and Career System, every ninth & tenth grade student participates in a comprehensive Career and Technical Exploratory Program, designed to introduce, assess, and guide them toward their future career path.

Phase I: Career Awareness
Students receive in-depth career information about all the career and technical programs offered at APA. This phase helps students understand the range of opportunities available and aligns their interests with potential career paths.
Phase II: Hands-On Exploration
Students participate in hands-on experiences in three trade technology areas of their choice. This interactive phase allows students to explore practical applications of their interests and develop a deeper understanding of each trade.
Phase III: Focused Career Pathway
Based on the evaluations from Phases I and II, students are permanently placed in a career and technical program. This placement becomes their area of concentration for the next three years, providing focused instruction and skill development aligned with their chosen field.
