What days will my student wear their school uniform?
APA Polo and Spirit Shirt Policy
- APA Polo Shirts are to be worn Monday through Friday as part of the standard uniform.
- On Fridays, students have the option to wear “APA Spirit” shirts in place of the APA polo.
APA Spirit Shirts include:
- Themed shirts.
- APA-provided trip shirts.
- APA sports team shirts.
This policy encourages school spirit while maintaining a consistent and professional appearance.
What are approved uniform bottoms?
For your convenience, uniform bottoms are listed on our uniform page, providing a one-stop shop option. However, you are welcome to purchase bottoms from any retailer, provided they meet the following guidelines:
- Students may wear shorts or pants in any approved school solid color: black, khaki, gray, or blue denim.
- Skirts, skorts, and dresses are permitted only for students in grades PK-5.
- Leggings or athletic wear are not allowed as standalone bottoms. Leggings may be worn under a dress, skirt, or skort for students in grades PK-5 only.

What is the APA uniform policy on outerwear?
Students may wear APA-branded hoodies, zip-up sweatshirts, and crew sweatshirts both inside and outside of class, provided they fit appropriately. An APA polo shirt must be worn underneath all APA outerwear.
Non-APA outerwear is not permitted at any time while on campus. However, heavy jackets may be worn outdoors during cold winter days for added comfort.
This policy ensures a cohesive and professional environment while keeping students comfortable and prepared for varying weather conditions during the colder months.
Are P.E. uniforms required?
P.E. Uniform Policy
- P.E. Uniforms are not required.
- Students should consult their P.E. teacher for guidance on the optional dress code for physical education classes.
This flexibility allows students to participate comfortably while adhering to APA standards.
Is there a way to purchase used uniforms?
Gently used uniforms are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. We encourage families to check back regularly and inquire about our current inventory of used uniforms. This option provides an affordable alternative for outfitting your student while ensuring they meet our uniform standards.
Can I bring my own polo to have the APA Crest printed on?
Custom Polo Screen Printing Service
Parents who prefer to provide their own polo shirts for their child’s uniform may bring them to the front office to have the APA Crest logo professionally screen printed.
- Screen Printing Fees: Applicable to all custom services.
- Turnaround Time: Please allow up to three (3) business days for completion of screen printing.
This service ensures your student’s attire aligns with APA’s uniform standards while offering added convenience.
