Our student mentoring programs vision is built on the foundation of providing the proper guidance and support, serving as a cornerstone of our success. We aim to empower students to step out of their shell, embrace their individuality, and recognize the strength within their unique voices. Through transformative life skills and enriching experiences, we inspire students to view the world through their personal len, fostering self-expression, confidence, and resilience. This journey equips them to chart their own course toward a brighter, more fulfilling future, achieving success on their own terms.
Students at every grade level participate in regular Mentoring Development Success sessions. These sessions include dynamic life skills group training, interactive workshops, and practical skill-building activities. Each experience is designed to teach essential skills that students can apply not only in their academic journey but also in their everyday lives and future endeavors. Through these sessions, students gain tools to thrive at home, in their communities, and beyond.
Middle and high school students are placed in small, focused groups where our A VOICE leadership mentor counselors provide personalized guidance. These mentors help students navigate their journeys by building a strong foundation in goal setting, addressing daily challenges, and mapping out actionable solutions for success. This supportive environment fosters growth, resilience, and the skills necessary for students to achieve their aspirations.
Every year, Advance Prep Academy middle & high school students embark on a transformative trip where they focus on showcasing their skills, building meaningful relationships, and gaining hands-on exposure to real-world experiences. These journeys, known as “Pathway to Success Trips,” are an essential part of the middle & high school experience at APA. They serve as a platform for students to connect classroom learning with practical applications, fostering growth, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
